What this site knows about you

Nothing is collected as you browse

This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising or social media trackers, and no fingerprinting. Nothing is written to your browser’s storage. There is no sign-in, so there is no account and no profile.

The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

There is nowhere for data to go

The site is a set of plain files. There is no application running behind it and no database attached to it, so even information you type has nowhere on our side to be stored. This is a deliberate choice rather than a temporary state.

The two forms

The letter on the contact page and the date-announcement box on the events page do not send anything anywhere by themselves. When you press the button, they hand what you wrote to your own email program as a ready-addressed message. Nothing leaves your device until you send it from there, and if you close that message instead, nothing has happened at all.

While you are typing, the words exist only in your browser. They are not transmitted, saved, or recovered later.

If you do write to Terri

Your message and your email address are used to read and answer you, and for nothing else. They are not added to a mailing list, not passed to anyone, and not sold. If you would like your message deleted, say so in a reply and it will be.

Ordinary server records

As with any website, the server that delivers these pages keeps routine request records: the address your request came from, the time, the page asked for, and the browser that asked. That is how a web server works rather than something added here, and it is used to keep the site running and secure. It is not linked to you, not built into any profile, and not used to measure readers.

Links to other places

Some pages link out, including to support services and to background reading. Those sites are run by other people under their own privacy practices, and following a link takes you to them. The crisis services listed on the support page set their own terms of confidentiality, which their own pages explain.

Any change to how the site handles information will be described here, and the review date at the top will change with it. If you want to ask about any of this, the contact page is the place.
